I <3 BATIK

This event took place on the 11th of July where Degree students of Mass Communication SEGi University, Kota Damansara had a min blowing event to exercise the batik wear as a street wear as it is not only a wear to put on during a formal event where else a fashion, trend and indeed a modern innovation to be worn outside as a street wear. 

The aim is to bring back the tradition to this new modern era to wear batik in a fashionable way to fit the trend of today. 

Local fashion designers from the Bumiputra Fashion Designer Association and the local students from our very own local fashion school had their debut runway on that day as well. Various pattern and styles were shown on the runway together with the models themselves. 

 Various kinds , types, colours, style were on the runway on that day to show that batik is not only a traditional fashion but also it is an on going trend. List of solo singers, to rap group and a rock band were on stage to perform in this historical moments of the SEGi University Degree Mass Communication students.
The event was attended by lecturers of mass communications, CEO of the Malaysian Designers Association, SEGi University's staff and most of all the vice chancellor of the University, Prof. Dr. Muhamad Awang.

This event came out on the papers of The Star 2 days after the event where by it gained media coverage and at the same time makes it a very successful event for the students.
